What are the commonly used PE protective film glues?

1. Rubber glue

As the name suggests, the main raw material of rubber-based glue is rubber, which is mainly produced by European and certain Japanese protective film manufacturers. The main feature is that the product is relatively tolerant, which means that a product with a viscosity can be suitable for products. The surface ranges from smooth to rough. Compared with the protective film of acrylic glue, the scope of application is much larger. Therefore, in general, the viscosity of the rubber-based protective film is only about four levels, while the protective film of acrylic glue is about 20g/interval. 25mm must be classified as a product separately, so the protective film of acrylic glue has many varieties. For the manufacturer's stocking, inventory, and application, the rubber-type protective film is much simpler. The second advantage of the rubber-type protective film is also because of its large tolerance, so it can use a higher viscosity protective film, and therefore it is especially suitable for post-processing complicated applications, such as stainless steel plates, aluminum plates and other stamping processes.

2. Acrylic glue

Acrylic glue, also called pressure-sensitive adhesive, is mainly composed of tincture. Tincture is a kind of macromolecular active substance, and the temperature has a certain influence on molecular activity. The tincture content of the glue directly affects the use of the tape. Excellent peelability, strong cohesion of the film, high transparency, no degumming, no residue on the substrate, suitable for manufacturing low, medium and high viscosity optical protective film. Generally divided into solvent type and emulsifying type, which are commonly known as oil glue and water glue. Acrylic glue has a wide application range, and its stability is generally better. The disadvantage is that the exhaust is poor, the response to humidity is greater, and it is easier to leave white fog on the black surface, which is commonly known as the ghost image.

Three, silica gel

The development of silica gel is developed on the basis of acrylic glue, because in recent years the demand for surface protection of 3C products has been increasing, and a large part of these applications have entered the so-called after-sales market, that is, in the store, and then by consumers DIY by yourself. In this part of the application, special emphasis is placed on the special venting property, so as to avoid the occurrence of bubbles during the process of sticking the protective film, and the silica gel meets the needs of this part of consumers. The silica gel is used in the production of PET substrates. The main screen protective film.
